Keep Vegetables Fresh Longer
Here are a few tips to keep some vegetables and herbs fresh longer.
- Cut the ends of asparagus off and place it in water. Do not store in the refrigerator.
- Trim the stems of Basil, and place in a cup of water. Cover with a ziplock bag. Do not store in the refrigerator.
- Remove the stems of tomatoes. Store them face down and not in the refrigerator.
- Cut the ends of celery off. Rinse with water. Wrap in a paper towel and then wrap tightly with aluminum foil. Store in the refrigerator.
