Keep Vegetables Fresh Longer

Here are a few tips to keep some vegetables and herbs fresh longer.

  1. Cut the ends of asparagus off and place it in water. Do not store in the refrigerator.
  2. Trim the stems of Basil, and place in a cup of water. Cover with a ziplock bag. Do not store in the refrigerator.
  3. Remove the stems of tomatoes. Store them face down and not in the refrigerator.
  4. Cut the ends of celery off. Rinse with water. Wrap in a paper towel and then wrap tightly with aluminum foil. Store in the refrigerator.
