City of Marietta: The public is invited to come line the streets of downtown Marietta, for a moving and memorable tribute to our Military Forces at the Annual Veterans Day Parade on November 11th. American pride will be on display as distinguished war heroes, local high school marching bands, JROTC troops and Patriot Guard Riders will be among the participants. There will be spectacular floats, military vehicles and vintage cars passing by as the parade winds its way from Roswell Street Baptist Church to the Marietta Square commencing at 11 am. http://www.marietta.com/veterans-day-parade
City of Kennesaw Veterans Luncheon: The city will honor the service of military members past and present with a complimentary lunch on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11 from noon – 2 pm at the Ben Robertson Community Center (2753 Watts Drive). North Cobb American Legion Post 304 is partnering with Kennesaw city officials and staff to host the lunch. All veterans and active duty military are invited to attend. Acworth’s Veterans Day Ceremony: The city would like to say thank you to those who have faithfully served their country as well as those who are now serving. Acworth is honored to have these brave men and women living in our community and what better way to honor them than to host a Veterans Day Ceremony. Join us on Friday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Patriots Point at Cauble Park, home of the Veterans Memorial to honor our nation’s veterans. This year’s keynote speaker is State Representative Ed Setzler, Mr. Setzler served on active duty for nine years as an officer in the US Army. If you have not seen the Veterans Memorial at Patriot’s Point at Cauble Park, make sure you visit us on November 11.
