I am collecting gift cards for local National Guard Military Families. There are Georgia service members and families who are struggling in this current environment (unable to work/telework or take paid leave) or have lost their civilian jobs.
See the request below from the Georgia National Guard Foundation, which applies to our local Georgia National Guard families affected by COVID-19. They need our support.
Some National Guard service members have lost their civilian jobs due to COVID-19. The National Guard does not get paid like the Active component of our military. Just as importantly if the National Guard is activated, some service members may make less pay than their civilian jobs provided while serving our state / nation. These Georgia service members have to leave their civilian jobs, when they are activated.
If you are in a position to give, I would be grateful if you did so. Please help spread the word.
Gift Cards needed: Kroger, Publix, Walmart or Target (You can safely purchase these through online stores and have them delivered.)
Please contact me if you would like to coordinate a pick up at 770-310-3269 or please see other options listed below.
On behalf of the Georgia National Guard Foundation, a self-funded non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, we are anticipating requests for food and necessities from impacted military members of the Georgia National Guard who are unable to work/telework or take paid leave. If you are able to donate gift cards for Walmart, Kroger or Publix, please consider helping us to meet those requests apart from applications for financial relief assistance for basic needs.
Please send cards to:
