Bob and Susan Milani are the owners of Lazy Labrador Coffee House. They met in Old Towne Alexandria, Virginia while walking their labs. Their Labradors, Bocce and Buddy soon became inseparable as well as Bob and Susan.
25 years later, Bob and Susan now have their fifth Labrador Retriever, Kirby. The Lazy Labrador brand was born from a picture of Kirby resting comfortably at his master’s feet – as his master consumed his favorite beverage: Coffee!
After a 20-month historic renovation, the Lazy Labrador Coffee House opened its doors on November 18, 2021.
The Lazy Labrador Coffee House recently won First Place in the Reader’s Choice Award competition for Best Coffee House in Kennesaw!
Locals finally have a place to meet friends and family to enjoy a peaceful moment in the shade of Magnolia trees, relax in Adirondack chairs beside the firepit, play cornhole or bocce ball, enjoy the fenced picnic area, or relax in a comfortable rocking chair on the wrap-around porch overlooking Cherokee Street and the Southern Museum.
Their mission statement is: They want to provide their customers with the finest hand-roasted sustainably sourced specialty and craft coffee in a unique and inviting setting to build a more vibrant and connected community in historic downtown Kennesaw.
The coffee is not the only awesome part about this coffee house. You must check out their gift shop. My new favorite coffee mug is from there and they have healthy doggie treats, too.
I love my pooches. My husband and I enjoy taking our Labs to their dog park and relaxing.
The Lazy Labrador Coffee House has partnered with Mostly Mutts Pet Rescue and Adoption Center and Labrador Friends of the South to support local rescue efforts and adoption days. The Muscular Dystrophy Association also receives a portion of their profits, as Bob and Susan’s son, Jack, suffers from this debilitating disease.
